The hottest Monday of the year so far and Hannah and Tabitha were brave enough to run two miles to Abbey Community Centre, our local community centre who always have events going on and are keen for us to help them look their best. You can read about them here :

Here we met Jason , Lee , Beatriz and Anne Mari. A big welcome to Annemari , to her very first Goodgym !

We split into two teams , with one group cleaning chairs , and the second group cleaning the windows until we could see our faces in them .

We posed for a photo , and headed either home or to beer and burger for a Cooldown , chips and chat

Pete and Lee met at Abbey Community Centre and were furnished by Jason with cloths, gloves, bucket and squeegee stick. Then proceeded to clean and wipe some of the large external windows of the centre, coming up squeeky clean. Lee disturbed a huge slug, good to see some nature on the task. Good job, until next time.

Tabitha and Pete ran to Abbey Community centre and met Lee who was waiting with Jason and 100 flyers .

We wanted to stay and play table tennis but had deliveries to do so made our way to Rowley way to deliver the flyers

Lee had a bad knee so we walked back

Karen and Pete met at Beer n Burger, warmed up then jogged on a damp evening to Abbey Community Centre via a back route to keep off the main road. There they met Beatriz and Lee and were given instructions by Jason from ACC. It was all about mopping. Pete did the toilets, Karen and Beatriz the main lounge area and Lee the kitchen. Floors were soon shining. Time for a group photo then off to our respective destinations. Thanks Lee for the pun. Well done team 👍.

It was a wet and cold Monday night , which may have put off most of GoodGym Brent , but did not put off Tabitha and Pete! We jogged 3km to meet the ever grateful Jason at Abbey community centre. He welcomed us and shared some leaflets showcasing upcoming community sessions, as well as volunteering opourtunities. We shared out the leaflets and delivered leaflets to the local houses. Thankfully the heavy rain that was forecast stayed away , and after flyering, we jogged back for a well deserved drink
