Zlatan doesn’t do litter picks
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Oasis Foundry School in Birmingham.

Congratulations to David who did his 100th good deed tonight and earned his wings!
Tonight’s task at the Oasis Foundry Academy’s wildlife area was a short one. We met Megan at the gates and did a litter pick along the edges of the field, with the usual alcohol and soft drink bottles spoiling the space. It didn’t take long before the four of us had made it across to the new shelter, which is coming together nicely.
To add a bit more to a quick job we went around the other side of the school. Which meant navigating an alleyway which had a huge amount dumped through it. Thankfully it wasn’t the next task but possibly something we can help with in the future with a bigger group. Then we did another small pick in areas next to the school playground and on the adjoining road, where Balal found the Zlatan Ibrahimovic DVD above. Which I’m sure the maverick genius of football skill and ego laden quotations would be absolutely to know had been dumped beside a primary school in Winson Green.
With Ibra and the rest of the discards bagged up and binned, we went our separate ways for an early evening. We’ll be back here next week to help dig a pond on Monday and Thursday mornings. There’s still places left so sign up and join us if you’re free.
