You just can't stop us... the vaccine roll out continues
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Swindon Borough Council in Swindon.
- Saturday, 17th of April 2021
- Led by Emma Sperring
The sun was shining on us this week as we continued to support the vaccine roll out at the STEAM museum. Again GoodGymmers stepped into a number of roles to keep everything running smoothly. This included lane marshalling, (wo)manning the exit, and booking A LOT of taxis! This week we were supporting some of the most vulnerable in our society as they received their second doses.
On Saturday 17th April we also held a one minute silence for Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, which was especially touching as many patients were of a similar age and had their own stories of meeting Prince Philip at various points during his life.
Another highlight of this week was a very kind gentleman who arrived up with bags of food shopping... turns out he had very kindly bought over 100 doughnuts and other goodies for all the staff and volunteers! What we are doing really is appreciated by so many.
