Yes we have no bananas!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Saturday, 28th of March 2020
I ran to help Ms S by getting some shopping for her at her local shop. In retrospect cycling would have been more useful to her (although not so Goodgym) as I could more easily have gone to a bigger supermarket and got her more of what was on her list, a learning experience for me. After queuing at the local Tesco Express I managed to find most of the list with a few substitutes, minus the bananas and satsumas as fruit was in short supply. Thankfully they had the chocolates she wanted! They had a new generally only one loaf rule but my Goodgym letter allowed me to get her 2 different types as there was 2 of them in the house and I had no idea which to prioritise. I took the shopping back to her after going the wrong way out of the shop and getting briefly lost. I did offer to run to a supermarket and try and get the last few bits but she said they could manage for now. All in all a partially successful mission and will definitely find it easier next time.

Thank you Laura! Did you have an official letter from GoodGym that you have shown to the shop employee? This could be an issue when GG runner tries to make shopping for someone else and is only allowed limited number of the same item i.e. one loaf of bread only
Well done, Laura!
