Winning at musical chairs
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 28th of November 2020
Shuffling chairs into different positions was the name of the game for Samuel and I when we arrived at the flat of wheelchair user Mr F to help rearrange his furniture. First he gave Samuel a lesson in operating the controls on his mobility wheelchair so it could be guided out of the way under the stairs. Then, after moving another chair to clear the floor, we were able to swop the two-seater sofa and sideboard to opposite sides of the room, creating a safer layout for Mr F to make his way around independently. Finally we removed a damaged chair from the property, freeing up even more space.
