What sold out first? The chicken or the eggs?
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

There was just a lidl queue when I got to the supermarket to fulfil Mr S's modest shopping list. After a short wait, I was greeted by a whole load of empty bread shelves - not a good sign. Still, I managed to get 4/6 of Mr S's items and some beer for me (to save making another 'essential' trip to the shops later.) Just bread and eggs to find.
At my next stop, I co-operated by joining another queue, despite having no way of knowing if this shop contained the missing bread and eggs. Though they didn't have the brand of bread Mr S wanted there was at least some. There were a set of empty shelves where the eggs should have been. Just few weeks ago, it was chicken that was impossible to find. Now, it seems like eggs have taken its place. (Maybe because all of the chickens have been eaten...?!)
I dropped off the goods with Mr S who was happy with what I'd managed to find.
