6 runners, jogged to a community garden and paved a wheelchair access path
A milder evening greeted us in Newham, as the threats of rain that pummeled London (and me) throughout the day, were non existent in the glorious Olympic Park.
A return to a previous task was on the cards, we zinged on back to Urban Wilderness, a community garden in Plaistow. Really impressive green space, that the marvelous Jacquie has done a great job in maintaining. This week, we were 4 or so people down from our previous trip. We knew we had to put in some more elbow grease, and be a little more efficient to match our previous brick laying endeavours. Fortunately, we had experience in our corner this week. Hence the industrious flow of laying bricks, shifting bricks, levelling the ground, hammering and scattering sand was oh so fluid.
Once the good work was done, we made our way back. Some of the uber quick front guys did some higher cadence efforts on the return leg. Trying to change up the running bio-mechanics, as they whipped through East London.
Reckon we'll have a few more visits to Urban Wilderness, as be such a great sense of satisfaction to see that meandering path completed.
See you soon
