Weed it and heap!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Barnet.
- Sunday, 29th of April 2018
Shawn and myself went out on a chilly and damp Sunday morning to help Ms F in her garden. Shawn was braving it in shorts so there was no standing about as we kept on the move.
Ms F has a lovely garden that she obviously enjoys taking pride in. She still looks after her garden but is no longer able to do as much as she would like to, so we were both happy to lend a hand.
We were tasked with removing weeds from the flower beds and a small section on the service road by the rear gate and garage.
She gave us a bag of gardening tools and we both picked our weapon of choice to tackle as many weeds as we could in 90 minutes and heap them up in bags. We filled two large bags between us. Ms F was very pleased and surprised that we had got so much done in the time.
Ms F gave thanks and her 19 month old grandson gave us a lovely smile and some high fives as we left.
