The power of 6 today to help Kieran with his list of jobs for this amazing community gardening space.
Paul arrived and didn't even wait to be asked he dived straight into the compost heap and riddle away to ensure enough compost for the tomatoes
Sam got to work on the raised beds and repaired the arches which help keep out the resident fox.
Becky and Paula headed to the school yard to hook up the hose to given the garden a good watering
Kevin and I cleared some of the old compost heaps which had some damage large pieces of wood that Kieran is going to chip to use as mulch on the vegetable and flower beds.
We found a few amphibians hiding in the heap so carefully transported them to the pond.
Kieran and Get Out are in the process of organising Spring Fest which will be a free event for the local community to come and find out about the garden and all the work Get Out does. They also have a planned some training sessions ‘Introduction to food growing and permaculture design’ check out their website Get Out
