Here is the report from Isabel:

With Axel at the helm, quatorze of us met up and after a quick lungey warm up, were soon trotting along the canal in the direction of Hoxton Park Primary School.

Two smiling faces awaited at the gate and promptly showed us to the task at hand: two bags of top soil, one of gravel and one of sand. With gloves and tools neatly laid out we picked them and the mini wheelbarrows up and got to work. Top soil and gravel to be evenly distributed in designated areas and sand to be put into smaller bags. In no time, we made what is clearly a place of pride and fun for its little daytime dwellers even nicer and ready to plant the next crop of potatoes. Our hosts' smiles had by this point turned into ear-to-ear grins at the sight of a nice big clear space where, for the last four months, they had had to swerve and squeeze around the bulky obstacles.

On the way back along the canal, the faster runners sprinted (carefully) ahead intermittently turning back and running in the opposite direction to rejoin those behind.

Goodgymers, whether seasoned veterans or new recruits left hugely satisfied by this invigorating and gratifying experience.
