We may have fluffed the task
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the St Nicks in York.

7 GG Yorkies (including new member Vicki) ran to help St Nicks on Tang Hall Beck. We were tasked with cutting back some of the overgrown nettles along the bank and planting new plants which will flourish in the wet climate. There was also some Balsalm Bashing for good measure.
As Vicki and I got into the beck to pull out the Balsalm, Emily, Maddy and Lindsay went away to scythe the banks. The rest of us didn't see them until the end of the session, but they came back in one piece!
When the banks were suitably scythed and cleared of Balsalm (ignoring the large patch I may have missed!) we got to planting. It all seemed to be going well until Maria informed us that the roots need to be "fluffed". None of us have ever heard of fluffing (except Leanne) and I'm still not sure what it means, but it was a little too late as we planted most of the flowers by this point...we'll learn for next time!
