2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Friday, 18th of September 2020
On a gorgeous late summer morning, two runners made their way to Tooting to remove a bed for Ms P.
Ms P greeted us on arrival and showed us the bed that needed to be removed. Between us we decided it was best to take the mattress down first (luckily there was a lift!) and then take the rest of the bed down after. We got the mattress out easily and found a place for it outside where the council could pick it up easily. We then went back up to remove the rest of the bed which proved slightly trickier than the mattress! We decided to take the stairs this time and with some excellent manoeuvring skills, we managed to negotiate all the corners and reunited it with the mattress outside.
Ms P was so grateful for our help and had nick named us 'A and B', saying that A was the more stylish one and B was more practical like her! It had been a long time coming (3 months!) but Ms P could now finally get her hospital bed and have a good nights rest. A mission well done.
