Saturday morning saw 12 hungry runners eat up the 6 mile round trip to Easton Community Gardens to help deal with the aftermath of a recent fire which destroyed the toilet and made a right mess. As requested, here’s a very brief report on the highlights in the form of a verse for Billy Joel's We Didn’t Start the Fire. (Try and sing along)
Blackened planks, a burned up tree, what a mess, no-where to pee
Melted tools, heavy logs, sooty faces, no more bog
Smashing wood, that caught alight, filling skips, packing them tight
Digging holes and lifting poles, GoodGym does it right.
The path to Bath, our feet did pound, Paul Becker’s feet don’t touch the ground
Hounds and Hares, giving chase, all the way, right back to base
We didn't start the fire
It was briefly burning
GoodGym will be returning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we’ll be back to right it
Thanks to Kevin for the awesome run report!

Superb report Kevin!
Brilliant report Kevin - bet I wasn't the only one singing it!
Great account of the run Kevin, from Roll for the Soul to Billy Joel (and back). I wonder if we can turn this into a GG charity single. :)
Thanks for reading.
