At 4.45am in the dark, Rebecca picked me up to get to Holkham Hall for our marshalling of Trek 24 raising monies for East Anglian Air Ambulance. We were part of the Registration team so had to be there for 6am đ The advantages were, no road traffic, and we got to see the sun rising the near we got to the hours drive destination. As we alighted the car, the view was magnificent behind the impressive Holkham Hall. We were met by Lianne (a Goodgymerâ¤ď¸) from EAAA who gave us our instructions and we set about organising our stall. The first batch of Trekkers were walking the 24mile route, given their bib number, route map asked to fill in their details on the back, then make their way onto coaches taking them to the start line. 80 people on this part arrived in small groups, easy to managed. We waved them off, then had an hour until the next group attempting the 24km route. We decided to take advantage of the break for a walk around some of the fabulous grounds arriving back just in time for the early, eager, participants due next. 110 people this time, again in an orderly manner gave their names and off to the coach to their start point. Waving them off we set about moving our station to set up at the finish line. We all remarked on the lovely weather that was ahead, certainly not the extreme temperatures weâve had this week, perfect today for a Trek along this picturesque North Norfolk coast. We were then stood down to make our way home. I for one was going back to bed
