Upstairs and Downstairs
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.
- Thursday, 24th of August 2023
On a lovely sunny evening two Goodgymmers met at a house on their bicycles. The task was to bring a bed downstairrs and take a sofa upstairs ready for Mr T to come home from hospital.
When we arrived two family members were already tackling the task. Between the four of us we pushed we pulled we turned we scratched our heads and we managed to work out a way to fit the furniture round the corners and up and down the stairs. Fortunately with the good weather we could utilise outside to give us a bit more space,
Four women two large pieces of furniture and two flights of stairs with a turn in he middle - determination and motivation and team work and the job was done.
All that was left was the cycle home - for Pauline that bought her mileage to 15.5 miles and Sallyann to 9 miles and inckuded a BIG hill. Many thanks to Mr T for giving Pauline and I an opportunity to be out on our bikes on such a fine evening. and we wish you well on your return home.
