Undeck The Halls
4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Tower Hamlets.
- Saturday, 9th of January 2016
And so it was, on a rainy Saturday afternoon, I found myself walking just around the corner to lovely Anna’s house in East London. Having just run from an earlier task nearby, Sarah and Patrick fetched me from the end of the road and once Graham had joined us, we greeted Anna and set about with the task at hand.
A handy group of GoodGym’ers had helped Anna with her Christmas decorations at the start of the festive season and now the festivities are over, we were needed again to help take them down. Sarah climbed nimbly up in to the loft and together we stored away all the boxes, whilst Patrick and Graham helped move out Anna’s freezer and replaced some hard to reach lightbulbs. Helped of course by Anna’s furry friends, who took rather a shine to the boys.
Through the combined efforts of four, we were done in no time and had a quick chat with Anna before posing for a group photograph (minus me) and each going our separate ways.
