Two for price of one (part 1)
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Friday, 26th of June 2020
This was the second time I have been shopping for Miss S. It was lovely to go back and see her again. This was my first of two missions for today.
When I arrived she had written me out a list and had some cash ready for me. She assured me that if there were too many heavy items I didn't have to get all of them - challenge accepted.
I headed off to the nearby Sainsburys on my bike where I had to wait in the queue for around 20 minutes in the hot sun, I was practically melting by the time I got indoors.
Once in I was delighted that I managed to get everything on Miss S' list - I even added in some pretty flowers and a little box of chocolates as a little treat from me which I paid for separately.
I loaded up my backpack (admittedly it was very heavy - but I was determined not to be defeated) and returned to Miss S. She was delighted and very touched by the flowers and chocolate and it was really nice to be able to brighten her day, especially as I know she cannot get out of her flat.
I then hopped back on my bike in the boiling sun and headed for my second mission of the day.
