Tutti Rooty
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Sunday, 11th of March 2018
A lovely sunny morning for us to head over to Mrs G's house where we eyed up a large patch of yard which could certainly do with some GoodGym TLC in the not too distant future.
Mrs G's son managed to find us a variety of tools to use and asked if we could tidy the patio area in the front of the house, which seemed pretty straightforward until we discovered just how deep rooted the weeds were.
Nice to work alongside Mel today (our first mission together I believe) and have a catch up on lots of things including parkrun and also benefit from her wonderful ability to identify weeds from plants/flowers - there were a lot of both!
So much so that it took us a couple of hours to get the patio area looking nice and tidy, only stopping briefly to chat to Matt as he wandered past.
Having managed to fill two large baskets with weeds and roots whilst the sun continued to shine and swept up the lovely rich looking soil, we headed off on our separate ways looking forward to a well earned Sunday lunch.
