Tumulchtuous conditions
9 GoodGymers made their way 4.0km to help the Chestnuts Park in Haringey.

We welcomed several new faces (give a cheer out to Francis and Nicholas ), and and some old ones – good to see you back, Senay! After warming up inside, we headed off to Chestnuts Park. There, we split into two groups and got mulching in the rain… Hazel shovelled a steady supply of mulch into bags and some carts kindly lent by Friends of Tottenham Green for the task. Some of us spread the mulch over cardboard along a tunnel made of willow branches, whilst others mulched around the apple trees. That done, we finished up with a bit of litter-picking. We headed off, but not before rinsing out FOTG’s carts in the rain pouring off the roof of Chestnuts Community Centre!
The fitness session was a wheelbarrow race, which everyone threw themselves into despite the wet street. Then we headed back to base, where we remembered our customary round of high-fives. Some of the group then headed off for a very well-earned burger.
See you next week at the Library!
Thanks for the write up Emily!
