Trowel at the Moon
13 GoodGymers made their way to help the Oxford City Council and Marston Community Garden in Oxford.

A spooky, unlucky for some, 13 GoodGymers took part in our Halloween task. (For the superstitious, we'll be fine as we had two Marston Community Gardeners along to take us past the baker's dozen.)
Having fully expected to be howling at the weather while planting bulbs we were actually graced with Halloween sunshine, making it an altogether more pleasant Sunday morning out than expected!
We loitered outside the Up in Arms pub nursing much-needed hot coffee to warm us up after a stormy start to the day, then got to work planting up the verges of Marston Road with daffodil bulbs. We've got this task down to an art form now, so quickly divided into pairs and got digging and dropping in bulbs. We planted from the Up in Arms to the Rivers of Life church and back down the other side a little way too before calling it a day at noon.
We enjoyed some hot chocolates and coffees back at the Up in Arms courtesy of Alistair from Marston Community Gardening (the Halloween doughnuts come highly recommended too) and juice kindly donated to us for this session by our local Asda Community Champion. Thank you!
Welcome to Chloe, Ben, and Jack. Well done for holding your nerve through the wind and rain first thing and turning up for your first GoodGym session!
