Trimmin’ in the rain
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Derby.

Here's what Mrs O of DE21 had to say about the mission:
From Mrs O's daughter: "Just to say the Good Gym folk came today to Mum's to help do some gardening. Bless them again. (2 visited today.) B, (Mums home care assistant.) had also done some cutting back, I found out, & the work the GG folk have done is amazing! Please thank them from the bottom of my heart. There are some amazing people out there, particularly when we think that it's a big bad world we are living in. 🙏 Mum will be so grateful. I'm hoping she is able to pass her thanks on, but she lost her Brother yesterday, so may have a bad Dementia day.... But I can absolutely say, she would be over the moon, so thank you the both of us. ♥️ You are all amazing. "
We met B, Mrs O’s companion, at the door and had a good welcome; she was surprised that we’d come in the rain. Mowing the small lawn was unwise because of it, so we trimmed away some ivy invading from next door and covering a lot of ground too. We left a little compost heap and big smiles.
