To the Manure Born
7 GoodGymers made their way 5.4km to help their local community in Bath.

7 runners headed to Bath City Farm for another fantastic morning of shovelling steamy manure, with barrow runs up and down our favourite field!
With another visitor from our Bristol crew, the Godfather of GoodGym (congrats on the 200 runs Dave!!), Steph, Emily and Rosie set off from the windswept and busy Odd Down Playing Fields to meet Steve, Lucy and Cosmo down on the farm, where our host Mark informed us that today's task was a fun filled morning of shovelling manure into bags to run down to the crop space at the bottom of the sheep field.
We began to bag up the manure, with Cosmo really getting stuck in and getting his hands dirty (hoping he had a very long shower when he got home!) Once we became nose blind to the smell, we were actually quite grateful for the steamy warmth, as it was a very chilly morning! We thought perhaps the pile could be Steph's new bunkhouse to escape from the sugared almonds?
Watch out for the ram!
Then, with a warning from Mark regarding the potentially rowdy ram the bags were put in barrows and run down the hill. With Mark as our chaperone, we encountered no trouble with the sheep, though Lucy did have to catch a curious chicken! All finished, we headed for tea and biscuits from our wonderful host, then it was time for the run home.
Thank you to Dave for this week's pun - we were struggling to come up with anything appropriate!!
