After our volunteering efforts at parkrun first thing, we were joined by 4 dogs (Tess, a stalwart of litter picks; Pippa who's gaining confidence around the red tshirts; Benny, who's graduated from his puppy training class and Claude, visiting from Southampton as there isn't a GoodGym there) and 6 extra people (Tony, Maura, Louisa, Maxine, Jenny & Brian aka Mum &Dad!) for the litter pick of the area.
The cricket pitch and surrounding area was fairly clean so we headed off to the well known rubbish area at the back of Stanley Avenue.
John promoted himself up the ranks to "General Rubbish" with Vicki as recycling assistant. Judy had the heavy lifting job as the glass recycler.
We found many different varieties of cider can in amongst the brambles so we know what to bring to the parties around this way.
I actually forgot to count how many bags we filled but it was at least 4 big black sacks that were left by the bins.
Good job done by all AND we hit our 150 good deeds for the January Challenge too. Yey!! 🙌🙌🙌
