There's no business like mow business
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Sunday, 22nd of April 2018
While thousands of runners were setting off to run the London Marathon, three GoodGym Yorkies ran a 'slightly' shorter distance to help Ms A with her garden.
She asked us to mow the lawn, break up some branches so that they would fit in her green bin and do some general weeding. After a crash course on how to operate lawn mowers from Lizzie, Leanne set to work on mowing. Maddy armed herself with loppers to cut up the branches and Lizzie had a go at working out which were weeds and which were plants... She soon found her niche, digging out dandelions.
Over the course of an hour, the sunny sky started to turn dark, so we quickly finished off our tasks so that we could run home before the rain started.
Those of us who lived closest were back home in time to see Mo Farah break the British record at the London Marathon.
