Ten Goodgym runners set out for their run along Vaughan Way to The Peepul Center. Lyndsey and Stu led the run with Jim bringing up the tail. Mel had gone straight to the venue to get things sorted for the task. On arrival Mel showed the runners to where the painting was needed . A trolley loaded up with paint, brushes and rollers were soon put to good use. Katy and Irene set to sanding down the rough areas on the walls. Huw, who was the tallest, was called upon to reach the high areas. Jim was given the task of checking for any missed areas with a head torch. Stu and the girls were soon hard at work loading the brushes and rollers to transform the room. After 30 minutes the task was done, everything was tidied away and the skeleton was returned to the room. Jim had mentioned that there was a local 200 meter running track opposite the task venue, so the runners headed over for a speed and pacing exercise session. The group had to extra vigilant as the track was apparntley for residents only! After the workout the worn out runners headed back to DMU for a cool down and stretch. Dave explained next weeks task and bid the group good night.
