The Sun is Always Shining Somewhere
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Sunday, 4th of June 2023
I paid Mrs H a social visit today. Kanika and I had previously helped her with some weeding, but her husband has since died, and she is feeling lonely. It turned out that we had so much in common - a love of gardening, knitting and she also used to play short tennis with the group I now play with. We got on like a house on fire! She gave me a tour of her beautiful garden, and we both learned things from each other She had a poster up in the sitting room, saying 'The Sun is Always Shining Somewhere', which her grand daughter had put up for her husband when he was an invalid. So true!
