A final (possibly) task for Charlotte before she sets sail on an exciting adventure found us helping a local community group with their quarterly litter pick. Kevin and I ran the mile to meet up with Nick from Maryland Community Group and his volunteering team. Hilary Tori Rosa made up or GG Newham team of 6.
The community group supplied us all with a hi-viz,litter picker, bags and a much welcomed bottle of water.
We headed off in a couple of teams and the first thing we found was wild tomatoes....
Several roads covered and heavy bags we tied the bags ready for collection but more streets and litter awaited leading us nicely back to Maryland Point and lunch at Kotch
Pizza sandwich and prosecco for lunch is definitely a brilliant way to finish a community mission
