The Mud Doctor will see you now!
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Saturday, 20th of January 2018
Richard, Fi and Clo arrived to Mrs I's house to a warm welcome in the pouring rain. Mrs I asked us if we would like to postpone it due to the weather but we're "hardy brits" who wouldn't let a bit of rain dampen our determined spirits to get the job done. Me and Richard had been here before but this time there was no stopping us, as we had our secret weapon.. Fi! Aka the mud doctor!
And so we set to work. Squelch, splodge, gurgle, splat. Mud Doctor! The mud was splodgy and stuck to our forks but the mud doctor was there, and with a swish and scrape the mud was no longer. Treasure we found, a tiny wee face. Hello scary wee face!
Multiple worm (and some technicolour slug) encounters later, and with Mrs Iās garden tools now thoroughly disguised in a coat of magical sticky mud, the three plucky GoodGymmers took stock of the ground they had made. They were pleasantly surprised by how far the muddy patch had advanced (in the right direction!), and with perfect timing Mrs I appeared with a tray of tea, biscuits and croissants. After a lovely chat and cuppa, it was time to race the rain home, with Clo, Richard and Fi saying their goodbyes to Mrs I and to each other before heading in almost entirely separate directions.
