(The) Maxine, (The) Mel and The Wardrobe
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Portsmouth.

Had a lovely mission today with Maxine at Mrs B's to lower some rails in her wardrobe for easier access. Mrs B was very welcoming and it was warm and toasty after being in the windy rain. We had a quick look at the job in hand and discovered that the clothes poles were not held up by stickable holders but holders that had a couple of pegs needing some new holes! Mrs. B showed us her tool box which was pretty well stocked, but no drill! Mel had brought a tape measure, level and torch to make sure everything was aligned and we borrowed a pen to mark up where the holes needed to be. We then set about improvising with the tools that we had to complete the job. With much banging, screwing, and careful digging outof wood, we managed to make the required new holes and put back all of Mrs B's clothes. We never did find the entrance to Narnia, but Mrs B was absolutely delighted with what we'd done confirming that the new height was perfect. She can now easily access her clothes without needing to reach too far.
