The Hills Have Ice (frosty hill repeats in Greenwich park)
4 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in Tower Hamlets.

On a beautiful frosty Sunday morning,5 GoodGym runners took part in a hill repeat interval training session in Greenwich Park.
The Goodgym race and event calender is chock full of trail and cross country adventures over the next few months, so this training session was created to help condition our intrepid runners for slippery terrain, climbing steep hills and enjoying descents. Also a great chance to try out your trail shoes on soft, squishy ground before race day!
Our keen crew of Goodgym folks gathered together at the Pavilion Cafe for a short warm-up and a preliminary chat before the main session. The prepared course started at the bottom of "Greenwich Hospital Hill" (parallel to Crooms Hill, leading up towards Blackheath), and looped its way round to The Avenue (near the Greenwich Observatory) for a fun downhill section before repeating the circuit.
3 x (10 minutes running at a sustainable pace) {with 3 minute walking rest periods}
Seriously impressive performances from everyone involved- all of the runners dug really deep for the final hill repeats, and kept great consistency throughout the session.
Thanks to Ben, Sarah, Anne and John for joining in this morning! We will be sure to do more soon, and looking forward to upcoming trail runs and races with you all.
