"Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or another round of Pennie's Burpees." Dave Mansfield
This week we were joined by two GG newbies: Charles and Aidan - give them a cheer!
After a quick intro and warm up we were off, running 1.8km to Chestnuts Park where we were greeted by Karen who briefed us on our task. We split into teams for mulch moving and spreading, weed pulling and litter picking.
In typical GG fashion, the team had blitzed all three tasks in 25 mins, leaving plenty of time for fit fun.
Nobody took me up on my offer of burpees, instead opting for the 800m sprint. Raj was the speediest of off, making it round in 3:08.
We then did a quick round of press ups, burpees, jumping lunges and Russian twists, before making our way back to base for some stretches.
Next week is our 100th run – ** AKA our SECOND BIRTHDAY**. We'll be celebrating after the task with beer and party rings. Feel free to bring along any party snacks!
