The Great British Rake Off (with your hosts Mel and Poo)
9 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Bristol.

Tonight we abandoned a night at the discotheque to answer an SOS call from our friends at the Goffenten allotments. They had been delivered a HUGE pile of steamy compost and needed help moving it from one side of the allotments to the other, much to the amusement of some cheeky onlooking kids asking why we were 'barrowing poo!
When we arrived, Mel and Darren were already in action using their streamlined system of shoveling and wheeling and as more Goodgymers arrived we slotted into our assigned roles seamlessly.. raking, shoveling, wheeling and falling (Marcus). We also got to see the lovely pond which we had helped dig a space for on our last visit which was lovely!
During the evening some of the group took on a new Strava segment which included tight corners, a run up a wooden plank, compost dumping and trying not to bash into oncoming traffic. We saw some fantastic efforts and Richard B took home the crown although there were some cries of disqualification after other attempts took their compost further up the mountain (see video evidence).
We made a big difference to the compost heap and cleared a path for other allotment users ahead of the weekend. As the rain began to fall we stopped for tea and cake, had a trip to the compost loo (which was separate from the compost we had been moving), said hello to a visiting cat and headed off on our merry way!
