The Great Beningbrough Trail
6 GoodGymers made their way 35km on a training session in York.
- Sunday, 20th of January 2019
- Led by Tim Mckenzie
Instead of the usual lazy Sunday, 6 keen GG Yorkies ran around 30km from Knavesmire to Beninbrough Hall (and back) along the scenic River Ouse. Whilst 4 of us were training for July's ultra, Tom and Emma also joined the adventure; what better way is there to spend the weekend!
After a good gentle run, a few scenic stops and even a go on a swing set, we stopped off at the Blacksmith Arms for a good fashioned pub lunch and had some enlightening conversations.

Ever since I’ve known David, he's always wanted to milk sheep. Tom
After lunch we headed back. Unfortunately we would not get back in time for the 15:00 task; it was obviously because of how far and hard we ran and we certainly did not also have pudding at the pub!
