The Early Bird Bags a lot of Leaves and Wild Garlic
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Friday, 5th of January 2024
Ms B has a large garden but does not enjoy the good health needed to look after it and it had become overgrown and full of leaves. Anne popped round before work to lend a hand.
The first task was to rake and bag the leaves which had gathered at the back door and along the garden path. This alone was half an hour's work and filled two bags.
The second task was to clear the wild garlic, which was clearly quite at home in the garden and taking over every available space. Anne focussed on the areas along the path to provide easier and safer access.
After an hour, all available bags were full so Anne packed up and took them out to the bin area for collection.
All the while, Anne was kept company by several inquisitive (but camera shy) robins who chatted away and dropped in for a breakfast banquet of worms that were being unearthed.
