Camden

Mission

The clock struck twelve...

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.

Having completed a shopping mission nearby in the morning, it was a short bike ride along empty roads in central London (without getting too lost) to get to Boots on Holborn to pick up Miss G's prescription medicines.

Amazingly there was no queue either outside or in, and after a quick chat with the friendly pharmacist, I was presented with the bag containing Miss G's meds and it was then a 5 minute walk to her home. It was eerily quiet, apart from the sounds from a nearby building site. Just as I was ringing the buzzer, a head popped out of a nearby window asking me to leave them by the front door.

As I walked up the road back to my bike, the nearly church clock chimed for midday...double mission morning accomplished, and right on time...in a parallel universe I'd have gone to the nearby pub to celebrate.
