This Saturday, Long Man, Trellis Face and their gang headed to Horfield Common to help deconstruct a big stack of pallets so that they can be used to clad a community building.
We met as usual on a Saturday at Roll for the Soul and then headed up through the bear pit, up the steady hill through Horfield and then to the common. We got stuck in with hammers, wrecking bars and an amazing pallet stripping tool.
We got masses done, although there was a bit of pallet/trellis/face confusion:
That's not a pallet, that's a trellis. Your face is a trellis
We were joined half way through the task by Caroline, David and Gary who were completing a triathlon of Saturday morning activity - cycle to Chipping Sodbury Parkrun and back, then they caught us up on the task. Epic!
It was also David Guest's 100th run. Give him a cheer here. Well done that man! Wings are on their way!
