Taken to task four causing off-fence
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Holgate Allotment Community Orchard and Apiary in York.

Four Goodgymers tackled a challenging post parkrun task to remove a fence at Holgate Community Orchard. They needed this done urgently as they have someone coming to put in the new fence this week. We started on the seemingly more straightforward wood and wire fence but soon realised that it needed better tools to cut it away neatly from its adjoining fence at the end. Luckily one of the Community Orchard crew had a disc cutter which he went off to get to finish the task so we concentrated on removing the other half of the "fence". This was a combination of corrugated iron, chicken wire, wooden and metal posts, assorted other types of wire including barbed wire, all with brambles and ivy tangled through it. By the end of the hour we had removed the fence leaving the Orchard group to remove the remainder of the brambles and branches.
