Take it or leaf it
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the Hogsmill Community Garden and Hogsmill Community Garden in Kingston upon Thames.

A lovely Sunday morning had Petra and Rachel heading towards the Hogsmill Community Garden to help Brian with a few tasks. The hedge needed trimming and so the electric trimmer was put in action and lots of progress was being made until, unfortunately, it ran out of battery. Oh no! Fortunately the well-stocked shed had a plethora of loppers and choppers so the task could still be done. Petra made great headway with the weeding task and the raised bed by the children's play area was soon free of unwanted plants.
We told Brian about the new area we had adopted in Canbury Gardens and he very kindly offered us a range of herbs! Such a generous offer and we are very grateful. We bagged them up and I wobbled home on my bike so I could look after them until we had a chance to plant them in another task.
Lovely to see you, Petra! You were right about the Hogsmill Garden being a beautiful place. We'll be back to help soon.
