Today was a very special day, as we had not one, not two, but five honorary GG members!
Baffins Ward councillor Jeanette Smith attended with her two resuce dogs Jessie and Lanto, Jane from Southsea Beach Watch came down to help out and learn more about GG, and saving the best till last our little swashbuckling Super Crusher Alice was back to get all that recycling squashed down to fit in our bags! As well as show me up by easily fitting in to all the small spaces that I promptly got stuck in.
As usual there was many an usual find, including ceramic dog bowls, large metal car springs, and Samantha even found her own little den with a sofa, a blanket, some toys and a hoover for cleaning up after herself. Jen was in charge of recyclable items to help Alice out, Mel did a fab job getting the photos for me while still picking up a tonne of rubbish, while I tried my best not to get stuck in bramles when Jane found a whole bag of glass bottles.
The place looked much better than our last visit, but we will no doubt need to return again as this appears to be a regular dumping ground, a perfect place to log on the new Jetsam app.
