19 runners perform annual Foodbank stocktake in record time!
Prepped for a longer session than usual, we met at Papa's Park ready to help Vauxhall Foodbank do their annual stocktake. This usually takes them up to 2 hours and involves taking all the items off the shelves and weighing them in crates.
We had new Ealing trainer Lisa with us, to see what this GoodGym business is all about, so we all set off on the 2 mile run down the road.
On arrival, we were welcomed with tea and juice and set about the stocktake. Katie took half the group outside for some core work, involving planks, squats, press ups and HIGH FIVES.
I will never be able to do a solo lunge again! Said Emma.
All of the sudden we were swapping over groups. This stocktake wasn't going to take us 2 hours!!! Whilst group 2 were getting into their high five jump squats, we had a welcome visit from former trainer Rebecca Cox. Hooray!
We did the stocktake in about 20 minutes. The staff were delighted and we ran home happy to have done such a grand job.
