Step up and do good
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Sunday, 24th of June 2018
Here's what Mrs P of YO24 had to say about the mission:
Ms P was really happy with what the runners did in her garden and commended them on their vigourous approach to the tasks at hand. She assured us that their work has made it much easier for her to get out into the garden. She is very keen to have runners back in the future to help her put up a step and hopes to see the runners again!
Mrs P had a big high platform at the back of her garden which was very difficult to access.
She needed some weeds removing from around the fence and was able to look after the rest of her garden herself but getting up to the high bit was a bit tricky for her.
Lizzie and I clambered up there, pulled out all the weeds and sprayed a bit of weed killer afterwards for good measure.
We had to psyche ourselves up to clamber back down the giant step before filling up the green bin and bidding farewell, but not before Mrs P brought out some iced lemon water to rehydrate us!
