Start with a clean slate
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Saturday, 8th of June 2019
Whilst many of GG Yorkies are busy helping with York Pride, Laura and I ran/cycled to Mrs C's house to do some gardening. There was a small section of her garden which had become overgrown with weeds and she wanted these removed, weed-killer put down and the patch to be covered with liner and slate.
The weather may have been miserable but that did not dampen any of our spirits, especially not Mrs C’s:
“June…it’s meant to be June!” Mrs C
After clearing the weeds, it was time to put down the weed-killer, liner and slate. Whilst we may not be experts on the subject:
“I’ve never used weed-killer…or liner for that matter” Laura
we made quick work of the task. Whilst we could have done with another bag of slate or two, the area now looks more tidy!
