Squeaky Clean Up Lopperation
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Big cheer to Jen on completing her first GoodGym mission today - nice one!
And a big shout out to Clo, who stepped it at the last minute to help out on what we discovered to be a rather mucky task.
We arrived at Mrs S's and were welcome in by her daughter who showed us to the garden, or rather what used to be the garden, but was now a sea of litter. Joined by Mrs S's son, the five of us set about bagging up as much of this as possible. We were provided with some great tools for the task, including litter pickers and paddles and, thankfully, some waterproof gloves which were very much needed.
A lot of the litter was covered with brambles, so we got to work with the squeakiest pair of loppers we've ever heard (along the lines of Sweep from the Sooty show!) to allow us access to all the not-so-fantastic plastic.
After around 80 minutes and some nice chat in amongst the toiling, Mrs S's son called time on our work, I think largely because we had filled so many black bin bags that there just would not have been room to store them and get them collected.
So we said our farewells and headed off on our separate ways in serious need of a shower or bath - we really didn't smell too good!!

Thanks David & Clo!! It was a tall order at the outset but boy was it satisfying to see the transformation in that short time! Fingers crossed we can return to finish the clear up and start the sprucing!
Thanks Dave, great report. Exactly, it was very satisfying to see what we had done! Yeah let us know when they want help again Dave, it would be good to do a further tidy up.
