Springing into action - the Easter Bunny is nearly ear
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Sunday, 25th of March 2018
2 GoodGym Yorkies ventured out on a beautiful spring morning to help Ms A with her garden.
Ms A has a lovely garden, but lately it's become a bit overgrown as she's had some health problems, meaning that she isn't able to look after it.
While Leanne was late after taking a wrong turn, and having to run an extra mile to get there, Ms A thought we were early because she'd forgotten that the clocks had gone forward. Once we'd cleared up the confusion, we got to work on the garden which mostly involved cutting back the dead plants and removing the massive amounts of chickweed that was taking over the flower beds.
Barbara soon found a stone bunny's ear in amongst the weeds which belonged to the rabbit that was sitting at the far end of the garden. Ms A was delighted to have it reunited with its owner as she thought she'd lost it a long time ago.
90 minutes later, the garden was looking much more ready for the spring plants to start blooming. As we bid farewell, Ms A thanked us, explaining that it would make a big difference to her because she could now sit out in the garden again to do her art work.
