Sorting out the Papers
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Luton.
- Friday, 26th of January 2024
I had a busy afternoon with Mrs J today. She had quite a pile of newspapers, magazines, junk mail and bills all in a pile and was rather confused about what they all were. We were able to sort through the pile gradually, putting all the junk mail, old newspapers and magazines she no longer wanted in one pile. Then I helped her work out what the various invoices were for and how she was going to pay one of them. She was really pleased to have the help as it had been bothering her she said.
We then had time for a chat and she enjoyed hearing that I would be going to an awards dinner with our area activator because Luton GoodGym has been nominated for an award. She said that we really deserved to win. She did laugh when I said that I was trying to decide which of my GoodGym shirts to wear over my posh frock... I said I was worried that my area activator wouldn't recognise me with my hair down, make up on, and in a dress and heels rather than the usual running garb. Mrs J wished us good luck and said that she thinks we all do a marvellous job.
Looking forward to showing her a few snaps of us in our glad rags next visit. :-)
