Slab happy
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Saturday, 1st of February 2020
Two GG Yorkies kicked off their 'RED February' with a mission to help Ms J move some patio slabs. They had been delivered to the front garden and needed moving around the back.
There are three palates of slabs, neatly packed into very heavy pairs. It took two of us to lift and carry each pack through the house and into the back garden.
We soon got into a rhythm with Amy at the front and me at the back and in no time at all, we'd cleared one palate
It's amazing what you can do with a bit of woman power! (Ms J)
After a quick tea and biscuit break we were joined by a neighbour and her son who doubled our productivity. The son was 17 and so naturally we encouraged him to join us at GoodGym as soon as he's turned 18!
Ms J was delighted at how much we achieved in such a short time and suggested that we come back to enjoy a gin and tonic on the patio when it's finally finished!
