Shopping in Hackney (via Sierra Leone)
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Tuesday, 21st of July 2020
Today I was tagging a slightly unusual errand onto my GoodGym Mission - I was off in hunt of my sister's passport at the Sierra Leone Embassy in Holboln. Long story short, with Coronavirus lockdown she's not quite where she planned to be right now! As Hackney via Holborn from Finsbury Park was a bit further than I could run today it was one for the bike. The passport was found and returned at the Embassy (much to everyone's relief) and then hopped up to Farringdon to get it in the post. From there it was a string of supermarkets on route to Hackney. A Co-Op and Sainsbury's round Old Street and then a Lidl the other side of London Fields for the last bits. Mrs N was very grateful for the extra effort but was surprised to see a GoodGym runner on a bike! On the way back home I figured I'd try a shortcut, which turned out not to be a shortcut at all but a massive loop round south Islington. But I made it back in the end!
