Shedding the Load

9 Fearless GoodGymers cleared out a huge shed for the Welshpool Gardens as well as dominating a canal side run.
We began the evening by welcoming Mia for her maiden GG run!
Big shout out to Eva for organising the GG Hackney takeover of Hackney Marshes parkrun’s volunteering roles on the 22nd of September!! Be great to have you join in!! Click here for all the information!!
With a summer holiday sized group this week we took the opportunity to get in a canal side run to take us on a 3k run to the Welshpool Gardens just off Broadway Market.
Meeting up with Morven and Linda we were soon getting fully involved in our physical exploits. With Amy and Antonia clearing out and mopping up the community centre the rest of the crew were tackling the shed!!
After some fox invasions in recent weeks the soft foam Garden cushions had been ripped to shreds and all the garden furniture needed a sort out and a clean up.
After we removed everything we swept all the ripped up cushions out and tidied it all up before making it look lovely, ordered and clean.
To take temptation away from the foxes we took the rest of the undamaged cushions and stored them in the community centre.
A short run back to base where we had a milestone treat in store!! In celebration of Hackney GoodGymers registering the 100,000th GoodDeed one of our Star Bakers Mireille backed us an amazing cake!! A chunky slice each rounded off a quality evenings fun!
Smooth Running
