What a lovely surprise to have a 4 legged helper in the form of Albie tonight. He brought his owners Lucy and Duncan and a big bag of dog food to play with!
With Ricky and Paul and Gillybean joining the party, Albie had a great hour of being chased, played with and. like all good parties some yummy food that was scattered over the grass for him to forage!
Hoomans worked hard too
With warmer sunny weather, hopefully, on its way the task tonight was to tidy up the cafe area to make it a more attractive area to sit out in with a nice coffee.
Weeding and scraping in between the paving stones was a fiddly one but with the help of some useful tools we managed to clear a big area , together with sweeping it just in time before we had to make a runner to the shed, as it started to chuck it down with rain!
In the shelter of the large shed we got our group photo and amidst more showers and with a little help from an umbrella we managed to tidy up and get out without getting too wet.
Duncan has a nice dry extra task this week - putting ribbon on medals for the 3 Forts Marathon. More details to follow!
Have a good week

I love the concept of getting physically and mentally fit whilst combining it with helping others. I run most days.
