Scoping out the Charity Finds
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Scope Charity in Birmingham.

Jonny has recently found us some fantastic Community Missions with Scope, the disability equality charity. Following on from John's Mission to help to unload a massive truckload of donations fresh from London this morning, this afternoon Laura, Karin and I popped over to Scope's charity shop in Northfield to lend a hand.
After meeting some of the shop's regular volunteers we got started on cleaning and sanitising surfaces like the counter, door handles and handrails, hoovering the floors and tidying up the racks of clothes and other products ready for the next day. With three of us working we were finished in practically no time.
The shop and backroom yielded plenty of hidden treasures including an amazing bright yellow ballgown – unfortunately not too practical to carry on the run home! We're looking forward to heading back there next Thursday, with another Community Mission at the Erdington shop on August 1st.
